I ran across my first one last year in Trinity. Really a beautiful snake . They aren't aggressive at all and I'm not scared of snakes. But now walking around I sure look were I'm walking they would let you step right on them without ever buzzing.

You do know timber rattlers are protected in Texas, correct? I am sure you were talking about a diamondback, right?
