Wondering if anyone works at the Phillips 66 in Old Ocean? How do you like it there? How are the benefit, more specifically the health insurance? Do you just work one unit? Any good info would be great.

Have a friend that’s worked there for 15+ years and I believe he just works 1 unit but not positive. He told me his insurance was pretty dang good and he makes around 30$ per hour on shift work. This was a few years agoComment

I work for Chevron Phillips in Old Ocean. The top out pay is around $42hr(shiftwork) and the benefits are good plus bonuses. There are a few units on the P66 side that have multiple units together, so may have to work in a couple units.Comment

Right here bro, been with P66 for 14 years in OO benefits are great, pay is even better, health insurance is good but not as cost friendly as it was when I started, I’ve gotten a 3% cost of living raise every year, yearly bonus check based on a determined percentage of your annual income, you progress through the jobs you learn, so in my area theirs 3 units and a big cooling tower, I can operate all 3 units in the field and on the control board, I believe the new standard is you have 3 years to learn 3 jobsComment

Allot of the larger oil/chemical plants are $40.00 plus an hour is my understanding. They pay those folks $40.00 plus an hour, plus benefits for a reason as long as you are aware of the risks. You can make a good living and retire with a nice pension if you take care of business.Comment
