Diagnosing a Ranger check engine warning

Is there away to diagnose this like a vehicle? A code reader?

I checked the oil....seems to be fine.

Google year make and model and you can figure out the code and how to produce it.

Should give you a code when you first turn on juice, or at least ours did, seems like it might have been a two part code so you really had to be paying attention and writing it down was best
