    Lets see your dog run/kennel

The wife and I are in the process of building a house and aid like to start planning a dog run/ kennel for our two dogs.

I'd like to see pics of your dog runs to give me some ideas. I'm thinking about having a concrete area covered in three sides with runs extending off the concrete on to dirt.

    So let's see them!

I'll try to remember to get pics tomorrow but when we built our house I had indoor/outdoor kennels built from the side of the garage. Gives them access into the garage into a fence area through a dog door, where there is hay to lay on, and then outside into a fenced concrete kennel. That then leads to a grass dog run that is on the side of the backyard.

These are Behlen country kennels. Rod built the metal roof.
Some day I'd like for each run to have an indoor climate controlled area.
If you do concrete make sure you build so you have good drainage or mud will wash in.
I like the idea of half concrete half pea gravel if you have dogs that don't dig. Dirt will just turn to mud if you don't put down some type of gravel. It's nice to be able to pressure wash concrete and to clean the pea gravel just spray it with a bleach / water mixture and rake it.

That’s a serious setup. What are the square pads in the kennels? Look like little dog cots.
