Man am I pumped, I hit the jackpot. We just leased 1400 acres in young county north of Loving with bunkhouse, established wheat fields, 4-5 creeks, 15 tanks. This land is bordered by the Herring and Stewart ranches. The family actually owns 3000 so a large part around us is managed well as is this place. Oh yeah, first year to be leased, Thank you lord, patience and persistence pays off. And an awesome family at that.Anybody know this area and any comments on the hunting?

I believe plum creek runs through the place as the major creek. The poor family fielded calls from 50 different people today and it just came out today, but I called first, after a season of bad luck, finally something good, I am truly blessed. They said some people called and offered ungodly amounts but they were faithful to their word and since I was the first to respond, they gave it to my group. Some people are so cutthroat-LEASE BROKERS! But this family was honest and good hearted.

My father in law owns a few hundred acres close to Jermyn, which his land backs up to the northeast side of the Herring Ranch or maybe its the Loving Ranch. Either way still pretty close the way the crow flies. Seen a few nice young 8 points, lots of hogs and turkey. I killed a 128" 10 point out there 2 years ago. A few nice deer out there but very over hunted around us. I'm actually looking at building a house out there pretty soon.
