Braveheart- it was a war movie
Saving Private Ryan - opening scene was first of its kind on the big screen
Band of Brothers - not really a movie - but the addition of the real guys commentary before they passed away was amazing - they are all gone now -followed the historical events from the book in great detail.

Lone Survivor, Platoon, FMJ, and Blackhawk Down were all very good, but didn’t quite make the best cut.

Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers and American Sniper were just too Hollywoodized for me, although American Sniper and We Were Soldiers book were much better as books.
