I found this tree on the edge of one of my pastures and its FULL of these masses i suspect are black walnuts. Can anyone confirm, and do deer eat them?

Hickory nuts may sell $30 to $35 per pound. But you may loose 40 pound of weight shelling them.

Hogs will eat them. Sounds like a rifle going off when they bust one. You can hear it 100 yards away easy

Cannot tell the size but looks more like a walnut after seeing the ones in the tree photo.
If you have plenty just crack some open.
