    Home add-on

Who has had an addition to your home? We had a surprise addition to the family so our 3/2 is not going to work any longer. For the time being our office has become a nursery but this is a temporary solution.

We would like to add one bedroom, full bath and another playroom onto the house. I guess another 800-1K sq. ft.

What kind of $$ per sq ft are we looking at? I would think it would be more because of the demo that would need to take place.

We are around the Houston area. Any good contacts you could recommend for me to get a quote?

I contacted our original home builder but they do not do additions.

Here is our original build. We don't want to move because we built on family land. So our only option is to make what we have work.

Not sure they work in Hempstead or not but I have seen these guys sign on a lot of add ons in my neighborhood. They add second stories to houses etc. So I know they could do what you need.

Also, my contractor that I have used on a lot of jobs is Europa Builders. They are worth at least a call. Tell him Hunter sent you. Mike is a good guy and will not require full payment until you are 100% happy with the end product. http://www.europabuilders.com/

We added 800 sqft and a covered patio and then gutted the rest of our house to the studs and redid plumbing, electrical, everything. Entirely new kitchen, bathrooms, etc. Opened up main living area, tore down walls, the works.

Total was like 250k, which was 100k cheaper than my other 2 bids.

Yes, my wife is way into the whole "everything white" movement. I don't love it, but it looks good.

                      Not far from you...
May want to check with Luedeker Homes.
Luke gutted and remolded my parents entire house in Bellville and added on an extra bedroom about eight years ago. They were happy with the work.
