Do we have any pressure washer business

Do we have anyone on here that does pressure washing for a living or side money? Wanting to start some pressure washing for some side money while off duty and I have some questions. I’m using a 2.5 gpm 3100 psi pressure washer with 14inch surface cleaner, while I know I need atleast 3.5-4gpm but I need to make back some money and then purchase a larger. First question, while not needed, can you run a 2.5 gpm pressure washer off of a buffer tank if needed? Second, what is a good way to price the job? By the hr or by square footage? Any other ideas? Any tips as well would be great.

    TIA

My uncle used to do it and made a killing. He was a hustler and couldn’t keep all of his ventures square so he ended up in prison. Lol so don’t be like him

Search pressure washing business on you tube. I recently started doing handyman work on my days off.
Also offering pressure washing. There are a few vids that go over pricing. I'm doing a job this week on a house and deck. I'm only asking .15 pr sqft this time hoping it leads to more work with this realtor.
I think typically it will be in the .20 .25 range Maybe more .But I think it's going to be a small percentage of my business. The handy man stuff alone has me booked solid working with property management companies

Thanks for the info, I have watched quite a few. I also read doing a charge like 65 dollars 0-500sq ft and then after the 500 charge like .12 per sq ft after. So 1000 sq ft would be 125.

What size unit are you using? And I’m not a good handyman, I’m great at breaking stuff (at least my chief thinks that) not fixing.

I came across a used dewalt 4gpm at 4ooo psi. I wanted it to peel paint for my exterior paint jobs.

Lol I honestly don’t know exactly the way he charged but I know when he started it was just a small deal. Then ended up growing into a pretty large deal that had a bunch of commercial contracts like Walmart.

I’m happy with it but you have to do a lot of rinsing afterwards, plus I need at least 3.0 gpm to get to a 20” surface cleaner.
