Nice buck Wolf Creek!
Here in Hemphill Co., I still have a lot of does running around with their fawns. Most of them, actually. Saw a fawn the other day that, while it didn't have spots, I wouldn't be surprised if it was born in late August/early September. It was tiny.
My unscientific theory is that when the drought broke here in early 2013, the best recruitment was from the latest bred does. Those offspring likewise got bred later and the late breeding has continued. Makes sense to me, anyways.
