Moose in pagosa springs

Have hunted at platoro for 5 of the last 6 years we saw a moose up really high on Cornwall mountain was really cool to see.

We got one in our valley north of Bayfield according to some of the locals.

Haven't seen it myself yet, but hope to soon!

We have been seeing a bunch just over the continental divide from Pagosa Springs.

I had one very close when elk hunting and coming through creek bottom. It was cool once it was 100 yards away. Not so much at 25

I was up between Creede and Lake City a few weeks ago and saw a moose calf on the dirt road to our camp. We eased up, the calf took off. I knew momma had to be near. She was. About 20 yards away in fact and she promptly charged the truck! I accelerated away about 50 feet and she went back into the willows so I backed up and we watched them about a minute. It was really cool!

Yes we've seen some nice ones on our property north of Dolores. They arent afraid of people either.
