As far as the reviews go, the ones I've found are solid, except for the one outlier. And yes they are legal in Texas

I have one. Nothing but good things to say so far. Hunting season will be the test.
My old eyes like the uncluttered sight picture. Ranging is fast and accurate.

Pretty neat gizmo but it will never replace good form and practice.

How does it work? I’m assuming that it ranges your target then sets the aim point for that range?

If so, how do you set it to know your bow’s “baillistics”?

Is it legal in New Mexico?

Agreed, but I don't think they ever made that claim. Still have to maintain form and shot execution for sure.

There is a sight in process that the software in the sight takes you thru and basically calibrates the sight to the bow. Once sighted in you draw, push a button that you mount to your riser "aim" the range finder in the sight at your target, release the button and it sets a pin at the ranged yardage. From that point you execute the shot. If the batteries ever get too low to function then the sight displays your fixed pins just like a conventional sight.

I know that is illegal in several western states. Not sure about New Mexico.
