    Giles traded

To the Blue Jays for Roberto Osuna- alleged woman beater. This can’t be good for the clubhouse.

That's a joke that writes itself.

I don't know anything about the guy? is he a better ball player than Giles? I know Giles has been stinkin up the place lately.

as far as the woman beater... was he convicted? Is it just a rumor? how long ago was it? what were the circumstances? does it have anything to do with how he plays ball?

He’s currently serving a 75 game suspension. With a court date coming up this week that could delay his return even longer.

Saw this and looks like it’s under investigation still? Not a good look if he did beat her....

Interesting for sure. What will that do to clubhouse chemistry? After the Danry Vasquez video was released, Verlander said on Twitter, "F*** you, man. I hope the rest of your life without baseball is horrible. You deserve all that is coming your way!" If i'm not mistaken, McCullers made a similar comment.

For those that don't remember, Vasquez was the Astros minor leaguer caught on film beating his girlfriend in a stairwell.

That said, glad to see Giles go.

I'm hoping this doesn't tear up the clubhouse. Hopefully the Astros truly did their research and are confident that there won't be additional punishments. They need to get their season back on track, and this could easily be a distraction they don't need.

I have confidence in Jeff Luono (sp) that he did his due diligence before approving this deal.

"We are excited to welcome Roberto Osuna to our team. The due diligence by our front office was unprecedented. We are confident that Osuna is remorseful, has willingly complied with all consequences related to his past behavior, has proactively engaged in counseling, and will fully comply with our zero-tolerance policy related to abuse of any kind." - Jeff Luhnow
You could bet money that part of that diligence is getting opinions from his starters and BP.

Still not sure how i feel about it.
