never had an issue with them and have had deer walk under my stand while it was on,, and i was only about 10 feet high,,,,, if you cant sit still your not going to see anything anyway,,, thermocell all the way

I've heard some say they were busted by deer using the earth scent. Not so much with the regular.

I've been using one since they first came out years ago. It was such a relief to find something that kept those nuclear Port Lavaca mosquitos/gnats at bay. Never once had a problem with it affecting any deer/hog/javi, etc. Best invention ..... almost ever!

Where I hunt, I also use it as a cover scent. Had a many of times deer or hogs get down wind of me but not spook. And I have never tried the earth scent. Don't see no need.

There have been times where I would have paid big money for one. Never go without one now. I've had deer within 3 feet of one and never spooked. I think that was a dumb deer but still.
