Not a lot of birds this weekend, but Dad and I hung out, watched football, filled feeders/checked cameras, and had a great time!





A couple of nice looking 3 1/2 year olds, but hopefully the more mature bucks will move in once they break up their bachelor groups, and settle into their fall ranges.

Went out last weekend for some dove hunting and work. We were VERY surpirised to find that we still had water left in all of our tanks. I really expected a couple of them to be dry. Bought a new truck Monday so I’m going to use it as an excuse to go pull Cards this weekend. Don’t want to wait a couple more weeks.

anyone have decent dove numbers? We had a few opening morning then after that they disappeared in crossplains. We shot 5 total and was kinda surprised we even saw any with the drought.

In Fisher County just outside of Rotan. Year four on our place and weve only taken one large buck trying to get our herd older. Weve got these two guys on the hit list this year. I watched Deer #2 a whole lot last year and don't think I can do it again this year.

Just talked to our landowner and he said he got just over 2 inches at his house in Valera. Much needed! Headed out in the AM to get my trailer set up and check everything out one last time before bow season opens up. I’ll report back tomorrow
