How well do the legs hold once adjusted and "locked" in place?

They are pretty sturdy. I have had other bipods, tripods slip but not this one. If I didn't already have one, I would jump on that deal.

I use one to hold the butt-stock of my rifle (the forend goes on the windowsill) and it’s about as close to using a board as it gets.
