Fifteen bucks per to turn rotors. If a new one is less than twice that much. Go with new rotors. The OEMs start with the rotors as light as possible. Think thin. Turning and wear equals thinner. Easier to overheat and warp. Plus you don't have to wait around for them to turn rotors. If it makes you feel better, scuff the old rotors by hand with 220 grit sand paper. Then clean well with brake cleaner or hot soapy water. But please check the caliper pins for free movement. A stuck pin means one pad is dragging causing heat and wear. If 3 pads are half worn and one is down to metal, something's stuck. Fix it or you will be back in again. And soon.
