Covert Codeblack HQ Photos

Has anyone had a problem being able to download the high res photos from the Covert Codeblack cams? If I request them on the app or online, it just says "HQ Waiting" forever.

I've talked to customer support and they haven't been any help. Last guy told me to try a different memory card, but couldn't tell me why that would have anything to do with sending a high res photo.

What they told me was that if it didn't come through, the cell tower that the camera uses doesn't have that capability.

I have been beta testing cellular cameras for several years and I have never heard of anything like this before.

A new or just different memory card will cure a lot of ills with cellular. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s worth a shot. It’s also a good idea to “format” the memory card in the camera. Also, defaulting the camera settings and turning the camera off/on helps. And if there is a newer FW update for the Camera, you can try that too.

This is the only place it’s been that sent pics. I’ve always formatted from the cam just in case, and check for updates each time I restart after downloading the pics to my computer. I’ll grab a new card and swap that out next time I’m there to see if it works.

Interesting. I have this problem with one of my Code Black cams. I’ll try swapping the sd card.

That is interesting. I have no connections with Covert but I’ll run it by someone who might understand what they are talking about.

Unfortunately my guy has no idea how a particular tower would effect that. It has to be something that covert is doing differently procedurally than other cellcam companies.

Just be sure and check that you have latest FW update.
