Marshall with his 1st deer ever. He and I have spent the entire season trying to get him to connect. After a 150 yard stalk and 100 yard shot, he took this doe with a 30-06. Afterwards on the way out he said "Dad we forgot to pray!"
You see I had told how this was an important milestone in his life, that he would always remember it, and GOd wanted to be a part of everthing he does. A few seconds late he chimes up and says "well I know Jesus was with me anyway....thank you Lord".
Truer words were never spoken by a 9 year old. I was even more proud of him then than when he pulled the trigger.
