There may be ways to stop or deter shooting WITHIN the school buildings themselves, but if a person wants to shoot kids, then all they have to do is to wait in the morning when all the kids are getting off the buses or piled up at the front door before they are unlocked in the morning or ambush them as school is letting out.
My problem with where I am at is I am in a portable building with no fences or safeguards anywhere and I am not allowed to protect the kids in the building much les protect myself. Our district I am pretty sure will NEVER implement or let teachers carry in the classroom as they always say, "the school police are minutes away." Yea, how many minutes in the size of our city and the few officers we have!
They are making a few changes, but nothing that I see that will help much.
