    Fab guys input...

I’m trying to come up with a flat bed design for my 99’ tacoma. I want something simply and as lite as possible.

I’m wanting to do 5’x5’6” with this look but not the headache rack or tool boxes. How much and what will i need for material? It will literally only be for hunting so corn me and hopefully lots of 170s is all it will have to haul. So i don’t need anything over kill or crawler worthy

    Thanks Corey

This is what it will be going on

I would reconsider a headache rack that is reinforced to mount a winch to help load those 170s

I had a flatbed on an 02 Tundra. I'll see if I can find pics.

I did this on my lease ride. It was cheap and not to difficult. Added the raised seat behind the cab also.

I would leave he headach rack if it were me, cheaper to leave it then replace the window. What about making it out of aluminum?

Is that just stained lumber? It will be my DD so I’d like a little more cosmetic appeal for my 23 mike round trip lol

Don’t have access to aluminum welder

It's treated underneath with watersealer that stains the wood also for the deck. If it's a DD may want something a little better. This one never leaves the lease unless it's on a trailer. Is in a barn out of the weather when not in use

I’d seriously consider protecting that back window. One “oops” could be pricey!

Here we go perfect just want rails to stop halfway down instead of full length.. would 2” tubing work or is there a cheaper alternative like c channel

If you have time to wait you could get with a local ag shop and have them build it as a project
