    Red River NM updates ?

Headed up in a two weeks and concerned about the forest closure. We typically hike, fish, and take jeeps on the forest roads.

Was anyone there for the Fourth? Any access to fishing anywhere? Hear any information about re-opening the forest?

    Thanks,
    BC

Just got back 10 days ago. Forrest closed mid week when we were there. We just played golf in Angel Fire and fished at Tall Pines where we stayed.

Forest is open again. Looks like the rainy season has begun. Headed that way tomorrow. Road trip!

Check for road conditions when you go. A friend of mine was up there checking on the Spring Creek fire, and when he went to leave, hwy 64 got shut down due to a mudslide. After a big fire like that, flooding is a big issue. This was last Sunday.

I got two inches of rain here in less than an hour. The acequia near the house started to overflow and break due to the rain.
