Been in the stand for awhile, nothing yet. I heard what I think is a neighbor shoot. Sounded so close hard for me to think it could be off my place. I hope they shot a pig or a youth got a good one.

I should have known better to hunt this morning. Hunted yesterday morning and got skunked for my first time this year due to the moon. Last night wasn’t any better..,Going to sit until 10:30

First sit since I put up a feeder pen and have a couple does in it now right now! I’ll take that as a success over feeding the pigs

Yes, Splendora- between 2090 and 242-seems like the last big chunk of woods left and they just sold another 200 recently along 242. The days of this lease are numbered.

As far as the lease goes, no. Between the usual over harvest and booming pig populations our deer numbers seem to get worse every year.
As far as this morning goes- seen a small racked buck and 3 spikes (not certain wasn’t the same spike doing sorties) and a boss coon just got attention- son thought it was a yote [emoji51].

It was said a few years back that there was a thousand people a day moving to Texas. (Last year’s numbers shake out at ~520 a day) All them folks gotta live somewhere. Too bad for us land leasers near metropolitan areas- neighborhoods be a coming.
