did he break his beam on his death run ?
we’ve had multiple bucks break off parts hitting trees after the shot.
i had a 11 pt break off 3 inches of his beam and i looked for hours for the piece and never found it it flew a long way i guess lol

Yes about 2” on his right side and about 5” off his left

Been on my buddies camera the last month straight. He’s seen him several times with no shot and refuses to pick up the bang stick. He may make it another year, who knows.

I saw a doe and a legal 8 this evening in these Gail Force winds. I’m still hoping he shows back up here, I’m going to hunt my other county to pass some time.

Back in the stand in NE Tx. Been over a month since I’ve hunted at home but I’ve tagged a buck in Jack County.

Have yet to see a legal deer on camera or in person on this place this year. But do have a group of 3 spikes coming in semi regularly in the morning. I’m hoping to put something in the freezer.

My place was under water last weekend. With this recent rain, it is sure to be so thru then end of MLD season. I have about gave up. Having to wear waders just to get to you stands and cleaning your SxS for two hours after every hunting trip gets old quick.

It can stop raining anytime now.

My dad got it done this morning on this late season old freak. This buck started showing up a couple of weeks ago on camera. We’re thinking it might be a 6 we’ve had on cam in prior years, but I’m not sure what caused the bad left side. He didn’t appear to have any injuries. Teeth were worn down to the bone.
