Canoe or Kayak

I vote both! One can carry more beer and supplies for the multi night trips, while the other is easier for the day trips and more relaxing!

I have a nucanoe pursuit. It is very canoe-esque. I can put a ton of gear in it if needed. Can also make it a tandem.

I have both and prefer the canoe when the wife wants to go and take a cooler, bags of stuff , etc. But when I want to go alone and do some fishing I take the yak. You already have the canoe so it's pretty simple get yourself a yak. Depending upon how big a fella are ya, go long and get a good one for a stable and dry ride.
