Same here. I worked for Ford and would fuel up a dozen different vehicles a day. Pulled back in one day, and here comes the service manager and everyone else. It was a bad day.
I never felt or heard anything though....If the mirrors had been adjusted I would have seen it, but a new vehicle and 1/8 mile to the gas station, I never bothered.
As stated, happens more than one would think and it appears a few posting here have done this.
I believe it was the State of NJ a couple years ago that it used to be against the law to pump your own gas. They ended up passing a law repealing it, and this very thing was happening all over the place for a few weeks. Lol.
This was yesterday south of Longview on the way home. Tailgate's just sitting between the ball on the hitch and his bumper. One side still had the cable on it but the other was just dangling.... pulled up beside him and pointed at his tailgate and he just gave a thumbs up and smiled. SMH
