    will he make it???????????

This deer was shot low and forward from other side of this pic 22 days ago he showed back up with what looks like a real bad infection. Any thoughts on if he will make it? And what about his rack next year?

depends but it is a good sign he is alive now. I bet he makes it. I also dont think the shot will make a difference on the rack for next year

If he can lick it, odds are great they'll make it. However the fact tht it looks infected and isn't healed after 22 days puts some doubt on him. He does look to be in pretty good shape.

If he gets over it and gets himself built up, y'llou may not see much difference. If you have a protein feeder nearby and he uses it, it'll help. I would bet you'll see a decline in his rack and if the wound is on one side, you may see some same side freaking

looks like he's eating too, i'd say better than average. Deer are tough critters.

Maybe it's just the picture but it looks like his jaw is jacked up too. His neck looks to be still swollen as well. Where is this? His hocks are seriously stained which tells me he's still chasing does and doing the rut thing so I think he'll be all right.

I bet he makes it. e is pretty swollen but the fact that he's eating is a good sign! He may have a little freak in him next year on the opposite side antler but hopefully he makes it! He looks like he is in good shape other than the infection!!
