    RV generator question

That’s too small of a generator to run a camper. I have a Champion 4000/3500, and I can run everything in my pop up (lights, A/C. I don’t have an electric water heater and have replaced the rv fridge with a mini size 120v unit)..........except the microwave and A/C at the same time. If I want to nuke something, I have to turn the A/C off, use the microwave, then turn the A/C back on.

Thanks for all the help guys. I bit the bullet and bought a Yamaha EF6300iSDE. Got tired of looking. Had to go to a Yamaha dealer because Cabela's, although they advertise it doesn't see that model anymore. Bought it at Kent Motorsports in Selma and they price matched Cabela's.
My arse is gonna be comfy now.

I used this little tool, and learned a lot about my rv electrical use with any specific generator. In my case there was a very large amp demand on startup or compressor lock up but the running amps were not that much. An additional capacitor can definitely help with that. https://www.amazon.com/P3-Internatio...ords=killawatt

Yes you can pair a lesser wattage Honda generator. Its not recommended by the manufacturer but several guys are doing it with success on Youtube. I run my full sized 13K btu roof top off a Honda 2000eu with a hyper engineering smart start kit ($350) its worth every penny and starts like its plugged into shore power. A regular PTC start cap would not get it done.
