We used a shotgun to do it but if your in city limits that wont work. It works if you have wasps nests around to get them. Tempo works too.

That's what my daddy always did......

no fire needed unfortunately, combed them out with the pole saw....thinking the limbs might survive, if not, fire and saw are within reach....will mix up the concoction later and spray the area down...to danged hot out there right now....

          gotta save those pecans!

Deff have to tear open the webs
They are water proof and poisons won’t get to them if you don’t open the nests

Temik in the soil. If its outlawed and you cant find it there are others. Kill your pets dead too

Our tree is 50-60ft. No reaching with a pole. He uses his pressure washer and what ever the treatment is. Knocks-em right out of the tree on contact. They die shortly after. This is what ours look like.

I have shotguns that work inside the city limits. You should take yours and have it checked. I had the citylimiter removed on mine.

                    This.

Put out 5 cards of these seven years ago and this year is the first time we have seen a web worm since. Just put out 20,000 more of the little flying carnivores

When I lived in Brownsville web worms were a constant battle. I don't know if it is still available but we used a product called Tangle Foot. If I remember correctly it is a gum base product that you apply around the truck of the tree. This prevents them from completing their reproductive cycle. Sorry it's been a long time ago but I think they lay their eggs in the ground and when they hatch the next generation would climb up the tree but I could be mistaken. Anyway when they really ****** me off I would get the longest pole I could find. Attach a propane torch on the end and roast them suckers.

Neem oil if you are wanting to go organic. Every month.

My dad is a depression baby and they had a pecan grove growing up. He said they would dump the shot out of shotgun shells and re-crimp after filling with granular DDT. No more worms. Dang that Rachael Carson! :-)

Wasp are the animals that feed on web worms...web worms use their webs as a deterent to the wasp. Take a pole and open up the webs and wasps will come in and have a feast!

We burn them if a pole can be fabricated long enough to reach them. Just wrapped up with newspaper and light. I've also had luck with malathion and a pump sprayer.
