Browning Patenets OCT 09 1900, DEC 17 01, SEPT 30 02, June10 03 Serial # is 57676 . It looks like a Browning A5 style but it has the hand adjustible choke. If anyone has any info please fill me in.

They have their place but man they are ugly and ruined some fine old shotguns.

As for the value without pics and specifics.....$150 to 1,800. But, if its a standard model in good shape, somewhere around $350-400.

I inherited an identical shotgun from my great grandfather. It also has a Poly-choke on it. (I think I was told it was a Comp-u-choke, but I may be wrong about the brand name.)

I have one in 20ga that i got from my dad who got it from his dad. Its a 1933 model from the markings on my barrel, and there is a guy that has a website dedicated to this model exclusively. can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about it. i'll see if i can track it down again.
