    Griddle, Pellet Smoker or BGE

I want a new cooking tool and have it narrowed down to these three Black stone Griddle, Traeger Smoker or a BGE. I have a large stick smoker and a propane grill. which one would you all get? Im leading more toward the griddle because the outdoor griddle thread has some awesome food in it

Loved my black stone so much that I bought another one! Now I’ve got one that stays with the travel trailer and one at home! Use the crap out of it.

I love my pellet smoker. I went the pit boss route over the traeger and like it much better than the traegers ive used in the past. Ive burned hundred of lbs of pellets and have yet to have anything not turn out perfect.

I will be adding a black stone to the mix as well.

I was torn between the BGE and pellet grill, I ended up going with the BGE because all the pellet grills seemed to be cheaply made..

X2... pit boss gets overlooked but is actually better than traeger imho. Same story as posted above. Everything I’ve made has been the best I’ve had. Kids and wife agree

I purchased my BGE 13 years ago and cooked on it all the time. We have two Traegers and a Green Mountain pellet grill at the Panhandle Ranch due to larger numbers to cook for. It took a while for me to warm up to the pellet grills; however, two years ago I got a Traeger for the house where the BGE is. For convenience, I use the pellet grill way more than my BGE. I like the convenience, the ease of use, no flare-ups and dummy-proof cooking that the pellet grill provides. When I have the time to really cook, then I prefer to use the BGE. Hope this helps and good luck with your decision.

I bought a pit boss on sale at cabelas a few weeks back. I’ve smoked chicken, ribs, and a couple of briskets in it. Everything turns out great.

I also have a large stick smoker and did alot of research. I ended up with a Rec Tec because its not cheap and a 7 year warranty with first class customer service. We have Treager at the lease and it wont hold temp and just CHEAP! I have had my Rec Tec for over a year and have not fired up my stick smoker since. The newer Rec Tec's are wifi and you can control them from anywhere. Fill free to pm me if you have any questions. Roy

                      Pellet smoker.

I have a camp chef that my only complainant is the amount of smoke you get. However that seems to be an issue with a lot of them. If I were to do it again Id spend the dough and get a rec tec.

If you want a griddle camp chef sells 'plates' that are seasoned that you can place over a plain ole fish fry/ crawfish burner. I have one of those also I carry camping.

Think I’ll be looking into the rec Tec

I use the hell out of my flat top. Have a Green Mountain pellet grill as well. I use it a bunch too but if I could only choose one, the flat top wins. It's just more versatile. You can cook just about anything on the flat top. The pellet grill is just for smoking meats.
