Hide for Bows

OK, so I shot a Javi and my buddy showed me how to flesh and scrape it. He's going to cut it into strips. He explained to me that he backs the bows with the hide strips and that it strengthens the bow. It also gives the bow a really neat look as you can see the pores from the hide. I'll have to post a picture when I get home.

I’d like to buy javelina hides

I’m a fly tyer and I’m looking to buy tanned or dried pelts. I don’t need the cape , paws, just the body. We use them for fly tying. If anyone has a idea where I can get a reasonable priced hide, let m know.

You want to buy one that's tanned or are you interested in a raw skin? My brother does someone fly fishing. I bet y'all could work something out for raw hides.
