Just passed a nice 4 year old and about 5 mins later 6 doe walk right to the base of my tree. I couldn’t get drawn until they spooked. Pulled back and let it fly. 1 slick head down.

I’m not out there hunting but I’m shocked more people aren’t seeing movement. With as high as the temps were the last two days I would have thought the deer would be running around excited to get shot.

She ran to 15 yards broadside, stopped and looked up at me. Then I let it fly, I drew as soon as they spooked. Got her checked in weighed 110 lbs although she felt no less than 200 dragging her up the hill.

A great mature buck came in when I was there!!! Congrats to the hunter, he’s a toad!

Back in the stand and looking for my own toad tonight!
