    Kawasaki Mule question......need more power

    I have a 07 kawasaki mule trans 4x4 that I put 27", 14" wheels on it...
The stock tires are 25" with 10 " wheels....

Now while it looks really good set up like this, it really killed my power from this 600 cc engine. While the mule is not made to be a fast, hot rod of a vehicle but dang it is a dog now....
If I load it up with 5 people, I doubt it will get over 13 mph....

Can you do anything to wake this engine up and make it faster, or more power to climb hills....

Anyone done anything to theirs that will help.

might need to look into changing gear ratio

Not a whole lot you can do with variable speed clutches. You can modify the governor, but may cause issues with other parts in the long run.

You will have to do what I did, get rid of it. My old mule was trouble free it’s whole life, but it was slow as a turtle. Not a lot you can do to these to make them go faster. I got a new Mule Pro and solved the slow issue.

                well.......
because the 10" rims looked stupid and the tires were worn out. I found a set of Can Am take offs for $300...tires and wheels...

I kept the small wheels, but upgraded the tires to the Sedona Buzzsaw's. Much thicker and better grip. We do some serious climbing out west and i have a grown passenger, 400 pounds of corn in bed and 800 pounds of corn on trailer towed behind. She ain't EVER fast, but she climbs just fine and pulls....well...like a spotted mule.... Love it!

My girlfriend has a Mule she uses around her property and while it’s problem free dang it’s a turtle. I’ve always been in a Yamaha or Polaris or something similar and it’s hard not having the power. Lol the Pro FXT are real nice though. I’d prob look to trade for similar year model rhino or something similar if I was you and didn’t want to break the bank.
