    Help!! Slippery Slate Tile

We have an outdoor kitchen and outdoor bath house next to the pool area with slate tile and over time it has become very slippery. Busted my butt yesterday!! Anyone know what to do or what to put down?

Replace it or make sure you have awesome homeowner insurance. Girl broke her leg at a friends house after coming in from the pool many years ago. Sued his butt off and took him to the bank.

one of the 2 reasons i absolutely do not like tile,,,, i have slipped too many times and as i get older it is easier to get hurt and takes longer to recover

I think there's an etching liquid you can use to rough it up. Google etching tile.

Need to etch it and put a new coat of sealer - should be done once a year otherwise algae growth can make it slippery - slate is porous and is a good base for algae you could pressure wash first too

I think I saw were people were using a dustless blast system to rough the tiles up.

Is it sealed. If it is remove it.

It was a friends new girl friend. It did put her out of work and stuck with a lot of medical bills. But still... It was her fault she was drinking came running in wet.
