Thanks, Shane and we will be calling to them.
Larry was walking with a can a few years ago but had surgery and is now doing much better, until he fell on a hunt on the Caddo-Gage a mouth or so ago.
    Adios,

We go down tomorrow and return on Friday. It was 63 here this morning following the big rain we had. Not sure if it rained where we are going as it looked like most everything was north of there. They are predicting 104,103, 101 and 98 on Friday for Menard. I am sure it will be pretty close to these temps where we are going.

I did not take any photos but I can simply tell you to go to a feed store or Tractor Supply and pick up two of the 5 ft. fiberglass livestock sticks. They have a handle on one end and a rubber tip on the other. With a string or strip of leather, tie the two together just below the handles. While it may be a little short when standing, it should offer a solid support from sitting no matter how steep the grade. They also double as a walking stick in rugged terrain.
I have found that the further you support the barrel away from your hands, the better the hold through the trigger pull which was very heavy on the Redhawks.

I missed a shot at 65 yards at one that was quartering to me. After I pulled the trigger, I was kicking myself for hustling the shot. The problem was that there were 5-6 wildebeest behind me at the stock tank and had the group of axis spooked.
Of course, the biggest problem is that I didn't execute the shot...
It was a fun hunt with some great guys, four from Ruger and Larry Weishuhn who I have known and hunted with for nearly 30 years.
