has anybody ever built a surround cover to put their pop-up blind behind or inside to make it dissapear. I am thinking of taking 5 long T-post and placing them in a circle around my pop-up blinds. wrapping a layer of goat wire around the t-post up to about 5' and then using the goat wire to hold brush, limbs, & grass. Then just cutting a few squares out of the goat wire for shooting lanes. Effectivley making my pop-up blind non-existent to the animals. Has anyone ever done anything similar?

Have you found any particular brush type that works better than others out there. I am going to be a few miles down the road from you on 380, so I would assume the bursh types available would be the same. I am thinking about using broomweed and the tall light colored thick grass that grows around the edge of the stock tanks, almost a cat-tail like grass

My neighbor threw out his artifical Christmas tree this year, so my son and myself ran out in the middle of the night with 3 empty trash bags and picked up all the limbs. We left just the center pole, couldn't figure out a use for it. I plan on using it next year to help 'brush in' my pop-up blind.

Just "brush it in" with corn all around it and right next to it when you first put it out. If they get comfortable eating within a few feet or inches of the blind, they'll be fine with it.

I know they will get used to it, BUT I honestly think the chances of getting a mature buck within bowrange of you while hunting in a popup is better if they don't have a clue that the pop-up even exist. I don't want to leave my pop-up out all season so if I go this route I can pull it up when the season is over and pop it back up behind the goat wire cover when needed and there would NEVER be any scenery change for the deer. I have hunted and shot several deer out of popups that were set up within 24 hours before I hunted them, but the big bucks don't get big by being stupid. The chance of one coming into an area that has natural unchanged scenery nonstop throughout the year are better than the chances of one coming in to a spot where half the year there is a stand set up there and half the year there is not. And when it is there, it is obviously a stand. I don't hesitate for a minute to think that a mature buck KNOWS what a hunting stand is. Just my opinion, hope it works
