I remember the first one I ever saw as a kid. I ran home telling mom I had seen a cobra. That was in AR.

I kept them now and then as a kid. They do number on a toad frog. Very docile snakes

The first one I ever saw was next to the clinic behind my house. There was an old door thrown out there for some reason so I picked it up and he was under it. I picked him up by the tail and carried it back to the house. He threw up a tiger salamander on the sidewalk. I remember being afraid of how bad it was gonna hurt if he bit me. Didn't have enough sense to put it down so I wouldn't get bit though.
