Tractor tires- R4 versus Ag. Which do you prefer?

So, I just ordered a new tractor and was curious on the tires.
All my tractors have always had Ag tires.
Since I mostly use them for shredding, finish mowing, loader work and postholes the dealer talked me into the R4 industrial tires.
He says they will tear the grass up less, but also have good traction in dirt.
Will these tires still have sufficient traction if I am doing an occasional food plot(plowing)?
Any thoughts from ya'll?

They will tear up a lot less than turf than Ag tires. R4s aren't very good in mud, which is where ag tires are best. On dirt, they are about same. They will spin easier doing loader work, which can be a good thing. I prefer a tire to spin than the tractor die when using the FEL.

yessir you will be fine. I sell tractors and a lot of people like the r4 tires. we have sold tractors up to 75hp with r4 tires.

I had R4 on my 50hp, it was good for mowing, had noticeable traction loss doing loader work and was only able to disc in 4x4.

You still didn't want to drive it in the yard.

I liked my r4 tires , but I am in rocky Hillcounty, I had all four foam filled when I had the tractor in Webb county, sold it after 15 years and the tires were still good on tread

Dang pilar, I ussually fill my front solid with rubber/foam.
I bet that was a heck of a bill getting those back ones done.

I've got Ag tires on my old tractor and R4 on the new one - both are right at 50hp.

R4 is way easier on the grass, and as mentioned above, won't dig in and kill the tractor when loading.

I much prefer the R4 in the hill country.
