    100 already :(

Lubbock hit the century mark at 4:44 this afternoon. Going to be a long hot summer, and dry.

        100 already 😞

I’m in Sonora, and have only had my A/C on for 3 or 4 days since Jan 1st. Not because of the heat, but because the humidity was high!!!!

Its been nice and decently cool here. Apparently we (Texas/US) have a La Nina positioned to be worse than 2011-2012. Im not looking forward to the coming blazes from vehicular dastardly cigarette butt flicking smokers.

I am praying for a cooler wetter spring and summer for that region
As my last big hunt in new Mexico the whole place was scorched earth

We’ve been dealing with wildfires on a near daily basis since march. Only getting worse the longer we go without measurable precipitation and higher temps

I read on NOAA that we were in a strong La Nina pattern (dryer for Texas) in the early spring but it seems to have weakened to the point that we're "neutral", not La Nina or El Nino.

April average sea surface temperatures in the key monitoring regions of the tropical Pacific were cooler than average, but no longer cool enough to meet the threshold for La Niña. The La Niña-driven wind and rainfall anomalies have also subsided.
So hopefully that'll mean an uptick in rains and not as hot as it could be in the summer. At least that's what I'm hoping for

It's getting real bad out here. Bar ditches still look like winter, nothing is green. Even the weeds are struggling. We have a small chance this weekend after the heat breaks, but I aint counting my chickens yet.

The plains and the panhandle in Texas are in a bad drought right now. Pray for rain for y'all. It will be a long summer!
