Flounder gigging corpus area

I've been spending some time in corpus. Sometimes I have my boat and sometimes I don't. I wonder if anybody knows any area to flounder gig that you can walk into when I don't have my boat. I'm not looking for anybody's honey holes. Just a spot that would allow me to walk in. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Can you drive to the ski basin by truck I've been there by boat but never by truck
