You can still get Windows Movie Maker but it takes some digging. A few Google searches and you will find the link to download an "essentials" pack I think it's called. When you install just unselect the other stuff. I'm using it on Windows 10 so it can be found.
Now having said all that, there are better and faster options. I have done a lot of video editing lately (80 or so volleyball games this season) and i purchased Power Director and really like it so far. The advanved tools like zooming, slow motion, picture in picture are easy to use and it isn't expensive, about $75 depending on the package you get and there are always discount codes and such available.
