    Another Vortex Thread

Looking for opinions on the Vortex line of Rifle scopes. I have a pair of Vortex Razors and love them. I'll put my Razors up against any other higher cost glass any day of the week but I dont know anything about their scopes.

Does anyone own a Viper, Diamondback or Crossfire rifle scope? When you bought the scope were you able to compare it to other glass of higher quality??? My areas of particular interests are in clarity, low light transmission, and weight. I am most interested in the 4x12x40 in Viper or Diamondback for a new 22-250 that I am getting.

    Your opinions are welcomed.

I would go with the Viper.

I assume you have a Viper? Were you able to compare it to others? Why the Viper?
      Just asking--

I saw a Viper the other day and was very impressed. I haven't looked through the Diamonback series, but I have looked through the DB binos.

Both are awesome glass. For the price I would go with the Viper. I consider cheap money for their top of the line. Can't wait to get me one

I have the Crossfire in a 4-12x40 with an illuminated reticle on my .17HMR.....

Being a Nikon Monarch guy, I have to say that it has impressed me enough that the Viper and Diamondbacks will get a look when I place a scope on the .204 Ruger I am in the market.

I just put the 3-10x50 diamondbacks on a rem700 .308 and a cz 550 .270 that I have. I have Leupold glass on my other rifles and it puts them to shame. I bought one of their spotting scope for my dad for Christmas and it is super nice for the money.

American Hunter did a write up on the Diamondback this month and gave it a great review. If anybody follows this guy on his reviews they know he puts them through the wringer. Optics and repeatability for shots were given high marks.

I put a 4-12x40 Diamondback on my 25-06 and have been extremely pleased with it. It replaced a Leupy 3-9x40 VXII. I will probably add another Vortex in the future but I might go with the Viper this time just for the parallax adj..
