    Kawasaki mechanic help

My FIL has a 2002 Kawasaki Mule 3010 that runs only when half choked, smokes like a fiend, and has no power. There is also oil in the tailpipe abd it soots up one spark plug pretty good. I would figure it was a bad ring causing oil to pass into the cylinder, but the wierd thing is that it really doesn’t use much oil. Not nearly what you would think from all the smoke. Smoke is also grey in color and smells like a burning belt. Could it still be bad rings? Anyone experienced anything similar?

Most likely valve seals but either way I think it needs a top end job done. I am doing one on my Rhino as soon as my gasket set gets here.

Only runs half choked and no power.....first things first.....check compression. Could be rings, could be intake valve guide.
White/grey smoke smelling like burning rubber is oil.
