Made my first trip with the new boats on the SM river last Sunday. I almost got us in small situation. I under estimated the time to paddle where we wanted to go.I was lucky and found the right friendly rancher. We got picked up at his ranch right as the sun was going down.A mile walk to the nearest road and still 2 miles on the river to our take out.(Way to much playing and site seeing not enough paddling) This new paddler learned a lesson.
I feel for you Jnet. I sank to my knees and then had to reach in and pull out my shoes. No telling what went thru the ranchers mind when I walked up.

That's my back yard you were filming there. Must have come down right after the rain Friday. Water usually a lot prettier. Keep that stretch a secret.
