Service call times survey?

Seems like everytime I call dish network or the home warranty company. Basically any home service call people. I get the ...your technician will arrive between 8-12 am or 1 -5 pm or the dreaded 8am-5pm.
My question to y'all.

Has anyone ever gotten the coveted 8-9 or 9-10 am time slots? Or 1-2 or 2-3 pm ones?

I always get the 11-12 am or 4-5 pm slots , where your stuck waiting the whole allotted time.

Anyone else have this occurrence?

Direct tv showed up this am at 7:55 for their 8am slot. However, they were suppose to be here yesterday between 12-4pm. When they called at 4:20pm and said that it would be another hour my wife said nope. We won’t be here!!! She put the old reschedule for first thing in the morning trick on them.

I had a Geek Squad 8-noon last week, he showed up around 10:30.

Mine gave me the 45 min. heads up. So I had time to make it home.

When we’ve had furniture delivered they’ve been really good about giving a 90min window and hitting it.

AT&T showed up at 7:50 for an 8am

In my business we schedule AM (8-12) or PM (1-5) service calls. We offer a phone call before coming to help out with the scheduling. Nothing worse than showing up for a service call with nobody home...
