Can Someone Explain This?!
Everything in NZ is way more expensive than here. If it is not made there, it costs a ton to get it there, and the final price to the consumer skyrockets!!!!
Another interesting tidbit about NZ currency. They abolished the penny, but everything is still priced with pennies. When you go to a register, they ring everything up with the penny prices (example: $1.54/lb for a tomato), then after everything is rung up, they round off to the nearest coin they do have!
