Rosie is a great dog that I wish we could keep. But with 3 dogs 4 is just too much.
Her story
About two years ago a friend of our saw Rosie in the median of a busy highway here in San Antonio. They turned around and picked her up. She had a broken front leg and also ended up having heart worms. Our friends did not have the means to fix her up so being the dog lover my wife is she ended up at our house. We started a GOFUND ME account and quickly raised some money to get her fixed up. We were amazed at the amount of help raised and she was quickly on her way to the vet for surgery. We nursed her back to health over the next few months and started looking for her a home. With her leg healed and the heart worms under control we eventually found her a home at my wife’s cousins house. This is where she has been over the last year and a half. The family loved her and she loved them and the cat.
We now have Rosie in our care at our home. Last week Rosie was laying on the couch at my wife’s cousins house and another family members small child was running about the house and jumped on Rosie and startled her. Rosie nipped at the little one and broke skin. The little ones mom and dad freaked out a bit and so now we have her.
I would love to see Rosie go to an older folks home, older couple or a place with older children. She is really sweet and loves to be petted. She loves to snuggle and ride in cars. I take her outside with out a leash all the time and she comes back every time I call her. We currently have 5 dogs(we are also fostering another dog) in our home including Rosie and she has not been aggressive what so ever towards them. She is truly a joy to be around.
I would be willing to meet within a reasonable driving distance from San Antonio. She is up to date on all of her shots.
