I got a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 CM shooting the Winchester Deer Season XP 125 grain. Yesterday I sighted in at 1 1/4 high @ 100yrds. 3 shot group you can cover with a quarter. Now here is where it gets weird to me. I moved to 200 yards expecting it to be pretty much dead on, however my 3 shot group was about 2.5 inches high. This had me scratching my head so then I moved over to a 6in round hanging target (range finder said 346 yrds) put the cross hairs on the top of the disc and punched it 3 out of 5 shots. I know the 6.5 is fast and flat but this doesn't match anything i have read on ballistic charts or anything that my other guns do. Did the same with my 300 win mag and its dead on at 200 like its supposed to be. never seen this before, hope someone else has but Im just not finding where this is supposed to be happening. Thinking about going back and zeroing at 200 and then seeing where it is at 100. FYI i was shooting out of a lead sled so the gun was very steady. Any thoughts?

It’s the mid size rings. After talking to a few buddies we may have identified a few things to try. I have gotten into the habit of putting my hand on top of the scope when o shoot my .300 win mag so I could have very easily been doing that which could cause the barrel to raise up in the front. Also I’m gonna try to take it out of the sled to get it on a firmer surface.
