I have a hitch out of an old truck and I am thinking about getting it installed on my new one. What should that run me. New truck is a 2018 f250 in case it matters.
Probably depends where you go but a few years ago I priced around for one and a few places I looked they didn’t charge much ($50) or so for the install if you bought it from them. I asked what the price of one was installed versus me installing and they would tell me about that much.
I would look into the model # you have because like said above, it may not fit the new truck
I can almost guarantee you that it will not fit your new truck unless the old truck was only a year or two old. The reason is that the new heavy duty trucks have the available option for a factory installed gooseneck hitch, and even if a truck does not have the option, it has the frame crossmembers already installed because they are designed into the basic frame design now. Unless the truck you are taking it out of was of the same generation of trucks, its probably not going to fit.
I think it's a b&w hitch. It folds away to hide I know that. It was in a 2002 f250. Installed but never used. Had it in for one week before I to totaled it. Tire exploded on me on i- 10.

2002 - 2017 is apples to oranges. Chances of it fitting is slim.
